Shae Kennedy Reber — Diverse Experience in Healthcare

An ophthalmic photographer and telemedicine executive based in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, Shae Kennedy Reber has served as VP of telemedicine and image management at Sonomed Escalon Corp. since 2017, prior to which she spent nine years as director of telemedicine at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Shae Kennedy Reber also has clinical research experience in both of these roles as well as with Occulogix/Medfocus Corporation and Othera Pharmaceutical.

Through more than 12 years guiding telemedicine programs, Shae Reber has managed hundreds of client accounts and delivered educational presentations to stakeholders such as large insurance companies, hospitals, and consumers. She has also developed certification for telemedicine programs and provided RFPs for potential business. In addition, she has kept up to date on state regulations for the delivery of telehealth and mobile services and monitored HEDIS/STARR score compliance with certification quality standards at partner sites.

In regard to her research, Ms. Reber has contributed to several peer-reviewed studies involving telehealth screening and ophthalmology. She holds membership in the American Telemedicine Association and the International Council of Ophthalmology and is a Certified Ophthalmic Technician. Before beginning her career, she received a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from Delaware Valley College.
