Currently, Shae Kennedy Reber is the VP of telemedicine and image management at Sonomed Escalon Corp in New York. She is a member of the American Telemedicine Association (ATA).
ATA, a non-profit established in 1993, promotes access to safe and affordable medical care for consumers through telehealth. The association’s diverse membership includes healthcare providers, academic institutions, technology companies, and partner organizations that promote the adoption of telehealth.
To encourage innovation in telehealth, ATA launched the Telehealth Innovators Challenge, a competition for developing new and innovative ways to deliver healthcare services online. Participants present their ideas to healthcare industry professionals to win prizes. The competition showcases the latest and greatest innovations in virtual care.
The challenge selects finalists in four categories: femtech and women’s health, in-patient care solutions, the patient experience, and tools that deliver care. The finalists then present their ideas to a panel of industry leaders, who evaluate their presentations and choose the winners.
